E18 Ames 1833 dragoon
Here I have an Ames 1833 dragon dated 1837 .It is in VG shape, has a nice unpitted blade with some very common spotting. The blade markings are VG for one of these 33's and mostly visible, including the United States, the 1837 date, and the Ames markings. It is inspected in 3 places with the blade inspector being TW. The grip as you can see in in very nice shape. It has been carefully restored by myself and one can plainly see that it looks original in every way, right down to the correct wire. I would not even need to say this, but as you all know this is what I do. Believe me as I have done almost 100 of these, so ones being sold are from me and they are done so precisely that No-one would even question them. They are original for all intents and purposes. Lately these have been hot as potatoes and bringing huge amounts on Ebay. This one is priced at $795 |
