Cold and damp it was the evening she arrived, the fog hung low like steam rising off the moor. She had driven for many hours to get to this place amongst the redwoods, her eyes glazed from lack of sleep, the fatigue showing as tiny wrinkles on her brow. I offered her a warm cup of tea to help ease the tension from the long drive, it was kissed with honey, lemon and the fragrance of Herb's as she sipped it. We sat by the twinkling fire and talked, the lines on her brow disappearing from the magic of the warm tea. Her eyes glowed like limpid sapphire pools, I was mesmerized by her beauty and the glow that surround her being. As she spoke of the long drive, I found myself drifting off and dreaming of what it would be like to be one with her. I could smell the sweet scent of lilac coming from her skin as the fire warmed her. I imagined for an instant that we were on some tropical island, sitting beneath the shadow of a palm, listening to the ocean breaking on the warm sands before us.
I drifted back for an instant, she had removed her Shaw and was asking where she could rest for the night, she said the warm tea had eased the tension from the long drive and brought slumber to her. I walked her down the hall to the small bedroom in back, it was warmed by a fireplace carved into the log wall. I had started a fire in the room before she arrived, the coals glowing like so many Christmas lights. The room had a small bath but the largest of the tubs in the cabin. It had been restored to it’s glory with lion feet embossed in gold, it's deep belly glazed in porcelain. As we entered the room her eyes caught the shadow of the tub cast by the candle atop the bathroom counter. She asked if she might soothe herself in a warm bath before she retired for the night. I was happy that she asked and offered to draw the warm water for her bath. As the water filled the deep tub I could see her shadow on the bedroom wall, she had slipped out of her dress and her silhouette was cast upon the wall. It was as though I was viewing a goddess carved in stone, her every cure highlighted by the fires golden glow.
I had turned to close the water from it's flow into the deep tub when I felt it, her arms wrapped around me to caress my chest. I could feel her breast as they pressed against my back, her hands wandering to remove my shirt. I stood in awe, I had dreamed of this moment for so long and now I was spellbound. Her hands slid slowly over my chest, my shirt laying upon the floor. I could feel the warmth of her skin as she pressed herself against my back, the beating of her heart as she kissed my neck. Her hands slid low to my waist, her warm breath whispering past my ears. I turned to face her, my hands gliding along the small of her back to rest upon her outer thighs. I pressed her tighter against me till our hearts beat as one, our skin warmed by the heat of the fire. We kissed long and slow, our hands caressing one another in a loving embrace, our heads filled with the thoughts of ecstasy. We slid into the warm deep waters of the bath, it’s heat adding to our excitement. She slowly lay atop me in the warm water, our bodies joined in ecstasy, pleasure as we moved in the shadow of the candles glow. I kissed her neck, my lips slowly wandering down her body. I kissed her slowly with my warm lips, gently to tease her as she became aroused.
We awoke together in bed the next morning, our
arms wrapped around each other like some flowering vine
climbing a tree to seek the light. The sun shined through the
window, casting a shadow upon the newly fallen snow as it
passed through the redwood forest. We had made a special bond
that night, a bond that would not be broken.
As the hours turned to days, the days to years
we were glad we had waited so long for that special night to
partake in one anothers' splendor. 15 years has past since
that time so long ago, we still take that long drive once a
year to celebrate the bond created on that special night and,
to spend time in the warm deep waters of the golden footed
tub.
